New Delhi, Nov 8: A seven-judge Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court delivered four separate judgments on Friday regarding the minority status of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud, leading the bench, announced that the judgments included a majority opinion and three dissenting views. The majority opinion was authored by CJI Chandrachud, representing himself and Justices Sanjiv Khanna, J B Pardiwala, and Manoj Misra. Meanwhile, dissenting judgments were penned individually by Justices Surya Kant, Dipankar Datta, and Satish Chandra Sharma.
