Job Fair Held at Govt Polytechnic College Ramban to Bridge Employment Gap

The District Employment and Counselling Centre cum Model Career Centre Ramban, in collaboration with Government Polytechnic College Ramban, successfully organized a Job Fair today, aimed at connecting job seekers with potential employers. The event attracted a large number of enthusiastic participants, particularly from the IT sector, and saw the involvement of several prominent companies.

Reputed organizations such as Kochar Tech from Amritsar, along with its subsidiaries Kochiva, Maxicus, and Kochar Infotech, were among the key employers participating in the fair. Local employers also joined the event to conduct placement drives for various job openings across multiple sectors.

Strong Participation and Successful Placements

The event witnessed a significant turnout, with over 150 aspiring candidates attending, eager to explore career opportunities. The job fair provided a platform for them to meet potential employers face-to-face, present their qualifications, and apply for various job roles. After a rigorous round of interviews and assessments, 8 candidates were successfully shortlisted for employment, marking a key achievement of the event.

Inaugural Address and Key Highlights

The Job Fair commenced with an inaugural address by Er. Vivek Mahajan, Principal of Government Polytechnic College Ramban. In his address, Er. Mahajan emphasized the importance of leveraging such platforms to secure employment, particularly for the youth in the region. He urged job seekers to take full advantage of the fair, noting that it was an invaluable opportunity for them to directly engage with top employers and showcase their skills.

He expressed his gratitude to Assistant Director Employment Amit Kumar for his efforts in organizing the event, as well as to the HR representatives of the participating companies for their collaboration and commitment to providing job opportunities. Er. Mahajan also appreciated the role of the District Employment and Counselling Centre in facilitating the event, recognizing their efforts to connect the local workforce with employment providers.
