Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath delighted spectators by trying his hand with the bat during the inaugural ceremony of the 36th All India Advocate Cricket Tournament, held in Lucknow on Sunday.
In a light-hearted moment, CM Yogi took to the crease and attempted a straight drive, making a solid connection with the ball, much to the delight of the crowd. The wicketkeeper behind the stumps applauded the Chief Minister’s shot, and CM Yogi himself was all smiles following the successful stroke.
After participating in the event, CM Yogi shared his thoughts on social media. “Today I attended the inaugural ceremony of the 36th All India Advocate Cricket Tournament held in Lucknow. Over the past 10 years, under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, sports activities have significantly expanded across the country. ‘Khelo India’, the ‘Fit India Movement’, and ‘MP Sports Competition’ are clear examples of this growth,” he wrote on X, extending his congratulations and best wishes to all the teams competing in the tournament.
The event underscores the growing importance of sports in India’s national agenda, with initiatives like Khelo India and Fit India promoting fitness and athletic participation throughout the country.
